Easily Remove left sidebar in New Google search Design

Easily Remove left sidebar in New Google search Design

As everyone up-till now must have surely noticed fresh bing - yahoo like looks of google , while searching . This design was introduced as the latest google update to search . Now googling is more faster , more easier after redesigned sidebar version after google squeezed all these tools and technologies into a single page. Most of the users have liked this fresh look , however the space for results after googling have now been reduced due to sidebar !
However if you are firefox , Opera , Chrome , or IE user , you can now remove the left sidebar in New Google search Designed version :
For Internet Explorer and opera :

Just need to type in Address bar :
http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=all

For Chrome :

Install the Hide Google Options extension which gives the option to enable or disable the left sidebar of Google Search.
Otherwise , alternative would be the userscript named as OLD Google which works fine for Firefox and Chrome.

For Firefox:

For majority Firefox users you need to install the Hide Google Options if you do not need the sidebar , you can also toggle enable or disable the Google Search.
Alternative would be this greasemonkey Google Fix Userscript that will greatly help to gid rid of new search box.

These are above options to successfully revert to the old Google interface . No chance for Safari users , as there is no script or addons available ! If invented , we will update on this :P

Easily Export your Nokia Contacts to another Phone

Easily Export your Nokia Contacts to another Phone

The address book of your Nokia phone is stored in the online Ovi Contacts – just like Android phones use Google Contacts – but with one big limitation.
Ovi, until now, offered no export feature so there was no easy way to download your phone’s address book from the web to the computer unless you had a Nokia device at hand. The Ovi Suite, Nokia’s desktop synchronization software, didn’t have an export option for Contacts either so your phone contacts were sort-of locked in Nokia’s cloud.
Madan earlier wrote:
I was using a Nokia E-72 and the data was backed up on Ovi.com, so it’s online and not on my laptop. I am now using an iPhone and would like to sync my contacts but how shall I do that? The original Nokia phone was unfortunately stolen.
Well there’s an easy solution now.
Nokia is discontinuing the Ovi Contacts website (the service will stay but you won’t be able to access your address book from the web browser) and this could be a blessing in disguise for people like Madan who have moved from Nokia to other platforms.
Nokia has set up a microsite - exportcontacts.ovi.com – where you can download your entire Ovi address book in the popular CSV format with a click. You don’t need the Nokia device or the Ovi desktop suite to export your contacts. The CSV file can can then be imported into Google Contacts and it will intelligently merge the duplicate contacts.
You got to do this soon as, according to an email from Nokia, the web access to Ovi Contacts will be disable after January 24, 2012.

Easily embed tweets on a webpage

Easily embed tweets on a webpage

It was practically impossible to show tweets on any webpage . You could only show last 5 tweets or any some particular last tweets or take a screen-shot and upload too to any blog / webpage . Twitter had rolled out a new tool that can easily let you embed a tweet on a webpage called the - “Blackbird pie"
Heres small easy tutorial to Easily embed tweets on a webpage:
  • Fist you need to enter the URL for the chosen tweet in the form that Twitter creates (that URL can be found using the time-stamp on a tweet  , just lil below your tweet that says  “1  minute ago” ) .
  • Then click on “Bake It” and Blackbird will generate the code needed to embed the tweet on your website.
A ridiculous frustrating huuuuuuuuuuge big janky script to generate static HTML tweets for posts.
Then just paste on your web-page and thats it :)
You cannot control the font and styling on your p tags and that quite strange but i m sure twitter will improve that feature !

Here is the demo of it :

Heaven for downloading all kinds of #blackberry games http://ur.ly/efQEless than a minute ago via XMPP Gateway

And you can embed tweets of anyone ! you , or celebrities or just anyone exception of those who have set their mode private
Unfortunately, as stated by many disappointed bloggers ,the tool still seems to be having many stability issues and this doesnt look good to see embedded tweets . Better to lookout for its update :D

Easily export your Facebook friends to Google with Chrome Extension

Easily export your Facebook friends to Google with Chrome Extension

Google+ turns all of the search engine into one giant social network. If you like Google+ and want to add your Facebook friends to it, then all you need is this awesome Chrome extension called Facebook Friend Exporter.
I just don’t know what you feel about Google+ so far, whether you’ve had a chance to try it yet or not, but one thing that really excites me is that it turns all of the search engine into one giant social network.
Google+ is more than just social networking, it’s an extension of Googleitself. Hence the name Google+.
Let me stop describing Google+ . Just watch this video to get a basic idea about it.

Coming to the point – most of us are on and all our beloved friends are in there too.
If you have started like me and want all your Facebook friends on it, one big question starts running through your mind – How to get them ?
Well you know, Google+ doesn’t have an inbuilt way to transfer your Facebook friends over to it. So, you will have to do some monkey business to get your Facebook friends into Google+.

How to do it ?

Getting your friends into Google+ is simple. All you need is this awesomeChrome extension called Facebook Friend Exporter, created by a Google+ user Mohamed Mansour.
1. Once you install, it adds an “Export friends” button to your Facebook toolbar.
2. So just visit your Facebook profile and click on “Export Friends” .
Depending on the number of friends you have, it could take a while, but you will have all updates on the process.
You should notice one thing here, the extension doesn’t directly add your Facebook friends to Google+, it will actually add your friends to Google Contacts.
However, this the most simple and easiest way to go about inviting and adding friends on Google+, as it uses your Google Contacts to suggest people to invite using an easy drag and drop process.Note : Please be aware that exporting your friends from is against its terms and conditions.
